A six-week journey for mums to come together to discuss and support one another in their hopes and dreams for the future and the stories they want to tell. Being a parent is wonderful and also incredibly consuming. The Story of You allows you space to step outside your role as mum, to reflect on your own story and where you want it to go next - this could be around work, family life or pursuing your own interests - all hopes and ideas are welcome. Relaxed, creative and empowering, this six-week journey is non-pressured, allowing you to dream and get practical without adding more tasks to your endless to-do list! Facilitated by Harriet Morris, sessions offer a range of creative practices including storytelling and mindful reflection, mixed with practical goal setting, problem solving, and resilience work. Harriet Morris is a local Hove mum who has been working in the arts and grassroots community organisations for many years. As well as running The Story of You she is a professional dancer specialising in making accessible dance theatre work. In all her work, storytelling is at the heart of what she does and she is passionate about helping people find joy in their stories and discovering where their story could go next. Most suited to those with non-movers but all little ones are welcome, please bring toys to keep them entertained.
